Have you heard of “Business Coaching Scams”?

There are a lot of bogus business coaching services online. When searching for business coaching, be careful and do your research. Scams may be pretty intimidating and distressing. You may feel you’re up against it with no chance of escaping. It’s nice to know that you aren’t alone and that there are people who can help you.

There are a few things you can do to protect yourself:

Tip 1 — Choose to work with Business Coaches You Already Know

This will help you learn from their years of experience.

Remember, you hired a business coach to help you with a specific issue in your business. They have more experience than you and can help you learn faster.

The first step is to find someone you can trust to help you. This person will look out for your interests and help you figure out what to do. They may also analyze the situation and give you some options.

Remember, con artists might try to scare you into making a decision quickly. They might say you’ll lose a great opportunity if you don’t act now. It’s critical not to be rushed into making a hasty conclusion.

Unless I know what specific problems I can help solve and whether this potential client is a good match for us to work together, I don’t make any money in my situation. In reality, competent and experienced business coaches allow potential clients to choose whom they want to work with. After all, high-ticket business consultants aren’t salespeople!

Tip 2: Find Out What Others Said About their Experience working with this Business Coach

Looking for a business coach you already know and trust can be challenging. I got this.

Thus, the second tip is about “DYDD” — do your due diligence to minimize the chance of you being scammed or ripped off.

How about searching online for the name of the business coach you’re looking for and then looking for words like “review,” “scam,” or “complaint.” This might help you see if there are any red flags that you should be aware of.
